QUT Research Study

Participate in a research study: The developing Australian foot – a feasibility cross-sectional study

Dear Participant,

My name is Simon O’Dwyer Mazur and I’m doing a research project looking at developing foot posture in young children. The project is affiliated with QUT’s School of Clinical Sciences, and the University of Staffordshire where I am completing a Masters of Clinical Biomechanics.

I am reaching out in advance of your appointment to see if you would like your child’s data to be included in my research study. Participating children would have the following data recorded during their appointment: data on parental ethnicity, age, biological sex at birth, and a clinical foot posture score for both feet.  Participation will not require any additional assessments as data can be collected as part of your podiatry appointment.

Please view the attached Participant Information Sheet for further details on the study. We would appreciate if you could use the link below to record your decision about whether or not you would like your child to be included in the study, before attending your appointment.

Many thanks for your consideration of this request.
